Female SHO suspended in Karachi over misuse of power

KARACHI: A female police officer in the southern port city of Karachi has been suspended for abusing her powers, it was revealed on Wednesday.

Sindh Inspector General of Police has suspended female station house officer Sahil Tasneem Iqbal after being found guilty after investigation.

Reports said that the IGP has also directed DIG Asad Raza to initiate further departmental action by issuing a show-cause notice against the officer.

An inquiry was initiated against the police officer after receiving complaints of abuse of authority.

After the inquiry was completed, the IGP decided to suspend the SHO Tasneem and ordered further investigation into the matter.

Police have not shared the nature of the charges against him. However, the order to suspend him shows Sindh Police’s determination to ensure integrity and impartial accountability.
