FIA arrests man employed with fake degree in PIA for 17 years

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday arrested a man who allegedly used a fake degree for 17 years while working for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

According to the FIA ​​spokesperson, the accused has been identified as Rauf Sohail, who allegedly used a fake degree for 17 years while working in the PIA.

Initially recruited as charge assistant, Rauf Sohail’s employment at PIA was terminated in 2020 after fake educational documents were revealed.

An FIA spokesperson confirmed that the action was taken on the request of the PIA, which resulted in the arrest of Rauf Sohail after his bail was cancelled.

Meanwhile, investigation of the case is underway.
