FIA arrests three suspects in Pakistani nurses scam in Saudi Arabia case

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has lodged a case and arrested three suspects involved in the fake nursing recruitment scam in Saudi Arabia.

According to the reports, the Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment requested FIA to register a case against culprits involved in faking the documents of Pakistani nurses and illegally sending them to Saudi Arabia.

Sahu Manpower Overseas Employment Company received crores of rupees by creating forged documents of 92 women from Pakistan and sent them to Saudi Arabia on another company’s quota.

According to the details, FIA Anti-Corruption Circle registered a case in Islamabad on the complaint of the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) and has sealed the office of the Pakistani company involved in the scam.

As per the details, the recruiter secured jobs for 350 nurses by submitting the same verification report for multiple nurses. After being caught, 92 of them have been deported from Saudi Arabia after working there for a year.

The HR department of the Overseas Pakistani Employment Office has informed the government about the whole situation and has said in its letter that Pakistan has been badly defamed in Saudi Arabia by this action.

The Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment urged the government of Pakistan and FIA to take action against those involved in this illegal scam.
