Five civilians, two soldiers martyred in terrorists attack on DI Khan RHC

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Five civilians including two Lady Health Workers, two children, and one Watchman embraced Shahadat in a terrorist attack on the Rural Health Center (RHC) in Dera Ismail Khan District.

According to the military’s media wing, on Monday night, terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on Rural Health Center staff in the Kirri Shamozai area of Dera Ismail Khan.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that security Forces in the vicinity were immediately mobilized for clearance operation in RHC, and in the ensuing fire exchange, Pakistan Army troops effectively engaged the terrorists as a result of which three terrorists neutralized. 

During intense fire exchange, Naib Subedar Muhammad Farooq (age 44 years, resident of District Narowal) and Sepoy Muhammad Javed Iqbal (age 23 years, resident of District Khanewal) paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat, the statement added.

Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. ISPR said that the perpetrators of this heinous and cowardly act targeting innocent civilians, especially women and children, will be brought to justice.
