Five injured in blast near Karachi Airport: Rescue officials

KARACHI: At least five people were injured in an oil tanker explosion near Karachi Airport on Sunday night, rescue officials said.

According to the police, the sound of the explosion was so loud that its sound was heard in distant areas.

He further said that the oil tanker was taking fuel to the airport but it caught fire before the signal near the airport.

Several cars near the signal were also damaged as their fuel tanks also caught fire.

According to updates till 11:32 pm, fire brigade vehicles could not reach the spot.
