DUKKI: The Counter terrorism Department (CTD) Balochistan has conducted an operation in the Dukki district, killing at least 5 terrorists involved in attacks on security forces, authorities announced on Saturday.

The operation was conducted on the information provided by intelligence agencies about the presence of militants from a banned organization operating in Balochistan, according to the CTD Spokesperson.

They opened fire as they saw the forces team, which resulted in heavy gunfire between the CTD and militants, leading to the killing of all five terrorists, he added.

Firearms and explosives were found at the operational site. A further investigation is ongoing to locate the group’s surviving network and affiliates, according to the official.

The identity of the terrorist has not been revealed yet, but the officials have established their connection to the banned outfit involved in insurgency in the mining region of the province.
