Four-year old child dies in Rawalpindi Metro Bus accident

RAWALPINDI: In a tragic incident at Rawalpindi Metro Bus, a four-year-old child was crushed to death after falling from the metro bus at Liaquat Bagh station late Friday.

According to the police, the deceased, identified as Rehan, was traveling along with his mother, and while deboarding the bus at Liaquat Bagh station he lost his balance and fell on the track. Meanwhile, the driver also drove the bus, crushing the child to death.

The child’s parents told the media that no security guard or metro bus staff were present at the door of the platform when the accident happened. The driver’s negligence also resulted in the death of the child, Rehan’s uncle said.

Following the incident, police officials from Waris Khan Station and City Police Station arrived promptly at the location and initiated legal proceedings.
