Gilgit-Baltistan general elections announced for June 7, 2026

GILGIT: Chief Election Commissioner of Gilgit-Baltistan, Raja Shahbaz Khan, has announced that the general elections for the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz Khan, while announcing the date, said that the elections will be held under the Elections Act 2017 and GB Order 2018, and all arrangements will be completed as per the prescribed laws.

It was further informed that the notification issued has also been sent for publication in the Pakistan Gazette, after which the official start of the election activities will be considered.

An official notification regarding the election schedule has also been issued.
