Govt extends Eid-ul-Adha holidays

QUETTA: The Balochistan government releasednew schedule for Eid-ul-Adha, providing citizens one additional day off to celebrate the holy festival. A fresh official notification was released today, modifying the previous dates of holidays.

According to the new schedule, Eid-ul-Adha holidays in Balochistan will be celebrated from Friday, June 6 to Monday, June 9, 2025. The modification is keeping provincial holidays in line with the federal governmentnew notification and giving the public a four-day long weekend.

Earlier, Holidays were planned from June 5, Thursday, to June 8, Sunday (second Day of Eid), but the new notice shifts the break ahead by one day, from June 6, Friday and to June 9, Monday.

Government staff and the public welcome move, and they are now able to enjoy a longer festive break with family and friends.
