Govt introduces easy Kuwait E-visa for Pakistanis

KUWAIT CITY: Travel to Kuwait just became easier as the government launched an electronic visa system for tourists, families, and companies with no further long waiting period.

The new move was revealed by the Kuwaiti government to promote digital infrastructure and tourism and business, as the Middle East launched an advanced electronic visa system aimed at making the visa processing easier and faster.

Tourist visas will be for three months, giving visitors sufficient time to enjoy Kuwait’s recreational and cultural attractions. 30-day family, commercial, and official visas will be granted.

Family visas allow residents to invite their family members, commercial visas will serve international businesspeople attending meetings and events, while government delegations on an official mission will receive official visas.

Kuwait Ministry of Interior, this move is part of the nation’s smart governance policy, which seeks to go digital, increase transparency, and deepen global connections. Officials further revealed plans to extend the system to additional visa categories, towards a fully digital and automated visa service.

Launch of the new system will save precious time for applicants and boost the speed and security of Kuwait’s entry processes, in addition to solidifying the country as a preeminent regional tourism and commerce center.
