ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan on Friday has decided to extend the tenure of Faud Asadullah Khan as Director General of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) for another four years.
According to the officials, the move is important in view of evolving regional and global security challenges.

Fawad Asadullah Khan was originally appointed as DG IB on April 21, 2022. He also became the first officer from the intelligence cadre to be promoted to Grade 22 and appointed as Director General of the Intelligence Bureau.
