QUETTA: The Quetta’s Grand Health Alliance has announced a boycott of anti-polio campaign across Balochistan until their demands are met.
Chairman GHA Quetta Bihar Shah said that doctors are protesting against the government’s recent announcement of privatising the government hospitals in the province.
He said that the doctors and other medical staff will boycott the anti-polio campaign according to the protest schedule.
The grand health alliance is holding a symbolic strike in the outpatient departments (OPDs) of government hospitals across the province until their demands are met.
The members of the alliance are also demanding the government to reverses this decision and let the hospitals operate under the government, as per their current structure.
The anti-polio campaign in Balochistan along with other provinces is scheduled to kick off from December 16.
