ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday barred the trial court from pronouncing the final verdict in the £190 million case against PTI founder Imran Khan.
The IHC division bench, comprising Justices Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb and Babar Sattar, heard the case regarding Imran Khan’s request for the records of NAB’s previous decision to close the £190 million case.
During the hearing, Barrister Salman Akram Raja, Arif Alvi, Shibli Faraz, Ali Muhammad Khan, Azam Khan, and others were present in the courtroom.
In a separate verdict today, an accountability court in Rawalpindi sent former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi to jail on a 14-day judicial remand in the Toshakhana reference.
The accountability court judge Nasir Javed Rana heard the case while Salman Safdar appeared before the court to represent Khan and Bushra Bibi. Later, the hearing was adjourned till Sept 2.
