ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the IMF Executive Board regarding the approval of the tranche for Pakistan has been called for tomorrow, December 8.
Sources say the schedule for the IMF Executive Board meeting has been released. The meeting will approve an tranche of $1.2 billion for Pakistan.
According to sources, Pakistan will receive $1 billion under the IMF loan program, and $200 million will be released to Pakistan in the form of climate financing.
A staff-level agreement was reached between Pakistan and the IMF on October 14. Pakistan has fulfilled all the conditions for the $102 billion loan installment.
