RAWALPINDI: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has given the responsibility of staging a protest again, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Ali Amin Gandapur, said while talking to the media in front of Adiala Jail after meeting PTI founder.
The Chief Minister said that there is a need for real democracy in the country, adding that the constitution should prevail in the country.
“We are not allowed to meet our leader in jail, I have met him after 2 months. Pakistan cannot be run by force, I have briefed the former PM on political and governance issues,” he added.
The Chief Minister further said that we have fulfilled the requirements of the International Monetary Fund (IMF); if they do not sit with us, we will not fulfill further conditions of the IMF.
“If anyone wants to talk, the PTI founder is ready to hold talks for the sake of the country. For us what Imran Khan says stand correct, we are proud on the leadership of PTI ex-Chairman.
“Our struggle for the release of Imran Khan will continue. We will release Imran Khan at all costs. We are a political party, our aim is not to martyr our workers,” the Chief Minister continued.
The statement made by the founder is the statement of the party. The constitution is being violated again and again, the courts should take a stand. All the cases against the founder of PTI are false, he added.
