Incentive package approved for HEC Chairman, Salary fixed at Rs 1.1 Million

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ministry of Education has issued an official notification of the new incentive package for the Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC). After the approval of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, new salaries and facilities have been announced for the Chairman HEC.

According to the notification, the basic salary of the Chairman HEC has been increased from Rs 1 million to Rs 1.1 million per month, while in addition to the basic salary, 20 percent house rent will also be given.

According to the document, the Chairman HEC will be provided with a house rent of Rs 200,000 to 250,000 per month, while Rs 100,000 to 120,000 will be paid towards utility bills.

The notification states that the Chairman HEC will be provided with unlimited petrol, a government vehicle and a driver, while the government vehicle will also be allowed to be used for both official and private purposes.

In addition, TA/DA will be given for domestic and foreign visits as per the rules and regulations, while full medical facilities will also be provided from the panel and government hospitals.

According to the notification, the Chairman will be eligible for leave as per the HEC law and rules, while one month’s salary will also be paid as gratuity on completion of one year of service.
