LAHORE: Following the decision by the National Security Committee(NSC), 22 diplomats and family members left for India via Wagah Border on Wednesday, according to media reports.
The departure of the diplomats and their family members took place in two phases. Indian diplomat Rahul Kumar Rakesh oversaw the departure of the delegation.
In the first Phase, 11 staff members left the country on Tuesday, while the other remaining staff left for India on Wednesday.
The Indian High Commission is operating on a small scale amid the decisions taken by the government following the Pahalgam attack.
Earlier, late on the night of 29th and 30th April, four Rafale fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force were conducting a freedom of navigation flight, near Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), while remaining within Indian sovereign territory, according to sources.
According to the security officials, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) quickly detected the presence of the Indian aircraft and reacted promptly and accurately.
The Pakistan Air Force‘s swift action reportedly confused the Indian pilots and forced the Rafale aircraft to turn back without escalating the situation.
It was noted by security officials that the Pakistan Armed Forces and all its institutions are always vigilant and entirely capable of forceful response actions to any form of Indian aggression.
