Internet & Mobile services to remain suspended in THESE Punjab cities tomorrow

LAHORE: In anticipation of protests by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, internet and mobile phone services are set to be suspended in several Punjab cities, including Rawalpindi and Attock, as well as in the in federal capital, Islamabad.

As per the details, this decision aims to maintain public order and prevent the spread of misinformation during the planned demonstrations.

Local media reported, ongoing disruptions to social media platforms such as WhatsApp and Instagram in recent weeks as part of efforts to manage unrest.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed through official channels and to be patient during the service outages.

In response to the planned protest at D-Chowk in Islamabad, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued a warning to PTI, emphasizing that Section 144 is in effect.

He highlighted that law enforcement, including the army and paramilitary forces, are on high alert to ensure safety, especially with international delegations arriving for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.

Naqvi urged PTI to reconsider their protest planed stressing that any violent actions would not be tolerated and would face serious consequences.
