Pakistan Naval Chief unveils Bahria University College of Medicine in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf inaugurated the Bahria University College of Medicine (BUCM) in the federal capital, here on Thursday.

As per the details, while speaking on the occasion, Admiral Naveed Ashraf appreciated the services and achievements of Bahria University in providing quality education in various fields.

He stressed that while there are many opportunities and challenges ahead, BUCM will evolve into a premier institution for imparting high quality medical education.

Naval staff emphasized that the professionalism, commitment and dedication of the faculty members is critical to establishing the campus as one of the premier medical institutions in the country.

Earlier during his welcome address, Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral (Rtd) Asif Khaliq acknowledged the support provided by Pakistan Navy in the development of the campus.

Project Director of Bahria University Health Sciences Islamabad presented the details of the project and highlighted the facilities available for the students.

The Naval Chief also visited the various facilities in the campus and appreciated the state-of-the-art infrastructure.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials of Ministry of Health, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and Higher Education Commission, former rectors of Bahria University and faculty members and students.
