ISLAMABAD: Driving in Pakistan, including Islamabad, requires a valid driving license. Without one, you risk facing penalties and potentially worse consequences in the event of an accident.

To avoid these issues, the Islamabad Traffic Police has streamlined the renewal process for car and motorcycle licenses.

If you apply within three years of expiration, the process is relatively smooth. You’ll need to submit the required documents, and you’re good to go.

However, if you wait longer than three years, you’ll need to take theory and driving tests again.
