ISLAMABAD: The district authorities have issued a traffic plan for August 5, 2025, as a walk from France Chowk to D Chowk is planned in commemoration of Kashmir Solidarity Day.
During the walk, Serena, NADRA, and Express Entry Gates in the Red Zone will be closed to all traffic from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
To prevent interruption, residents can access the Red Zone by the Margalla Road and the Marriott Hotel route.
The advisory is intended to guarantee smooth traffic flow and public convenience during the solidarity walk. Authorities ask the people to cooperate.
Additionally, authorities have imposed Section 144 in Islamabad and Rawalpindi ahead of a planned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest on August 5, 2025.
According to official alerts, the Red Zone and its surrounding areas in Islamabad will be completely sealed in the event of any protest attempt to prevent disruption and ensure public safety.
In Rawalpindi, Section 144 is effective across the entire district from August 4 to August 10, 2025. PTI workers are expected to hold protest rallies at the union council level nationwide.
A key protest site in Rawalpindi will be Adiala Jail, where a significant turnout is anticipated.
Several rallies will be held throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. At 3:30 PM, PTI members will march in Peshawar from Hayatabad Toll Plaza to Qila Bala Hisar.
Demonstrators are expected to congregate at the Ambar Interchange in Swabi and Khairabad in Nowshera, both of which are set to start at 3:30 PM.
To prevent disruption, authorities have advised visitors to and from Peshawar to make appropriate travel plans. Despite online rumors, all roads, highways, workplaces, and educational institutes are open on August 5.
