Three policemen booked for looting 39 lakh from citizen in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Three cops of the Islamabad police allegedly kidnapped and looted 39 lakh rupees from two citizens in the federal capital, police said on Wednesday.

Police have registered the case at Sumbal police station against police officials and their accomplices involved on the instructions of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shahzad Bukhari.

According to the FIR, the victims came to Islamabad to buy a Honda Civic after seeing the advertisement on OLX. Khalid and his friend Moshin Ali brought Rs4 million cash to the location, the FIR said, adding that the seller asked someone on his mobile to bring the car and served an intoxicated cold drink to the purchaser and his friend.

In the FIR, it was said that they were checking the vehicle when Islamabad police caught them and started examining the car.

“The police officers asked us where so much money came from. Then the police took us to Sector G-13 and dropped us off,” the complaint added.

In the FIR, it was mentioned that Kahlid and his friend Mohsin were not in their senses due to the intoxicated cold drink given to them. The citizens requested that their money should be recovered from the police officials involved in the incident.
