Karachi weather forecast: PMD predicts rain in next 48 hours in capital city

KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has predicted hot and humid weather in most parts of Sindh including the provincial capital Karachi during the next 48 hours, with light chances of rain, here on Tuesday.

As per the details, in its latest advisory, the PMD said that mainly hot and humid weather is expected in Sindh, however there is a chance of thundershowers at few places in Karachi, Mirpur Khas, Thatta and other areas.

Karachi Rain Update

On Tuesday, the temperature in Karachi was recorded between 30 and 36 degrees Celsius during the day while the humidity remained above 50 percent.

People will get relief from the oncoming rains and thundershowers, with significant rainfall expected over the upper and central regions from July 10 to 15.

Monsoon waves from Arabian Sea will enter these areas from July 10, intermittent rain and wind, isolated heavy rains will occur over Kashmir and different parts of Punjab and Sindh.

The heaviest and longest rainfall is expected in the Kashmir region from July 10 to 16. The PMD has also warned of urban flooding in northeast Punjab and possible landslides in hilly areas.
