KARACHI: A lady constable of Karachi Police has been dismissed from service for falsely accusing her fellow officers of harassing her.
A female constable posted at Garden Police Station had sent a complaint to the IG Sindh Complaints Cell, accusing two policemen of harassing her.
Following the complaint, SSP City Arif Aziz directed the DSP to investigate the matter. During the inquiry, all other female constables called her allegations false.
The SSP confirmed that the female constable was dismissed from service based on the inquiry report, while the sub-inspector assisting her was demoted and transferred.
On the other hand, the dismissed female constable termed the inquiry report and her dismissal orders as unfair, adding that she would challenge them.
