KARACHI: An American woman Onijah Andrew Robinson who reached Karachi in pursuit of love has refused to leave the country after the 19-year-old boy abandoned her.

After leaving the airport, Robinson tracked down the residence of her love in the city’s Garden West area and has made an unusual demand of $3,000 per week.

Talking on a private media channel, the 33-year-old woman also insisted on becoming a Pakistani citizen, while sitting in the building’s parking lot waiting for the boy, refusing to leave.

About leaving the country, the woman said If I get no bread by next week, I will leave.

The woman arrived in Karachi after falling in love with a 19-year-old, Nidal Ahmed Memon.

However, the young man refused to marry her after the rejection by his family and left the American woman stranded at Karachi Airport for the past seven days.

The US Consulate officials also arrived at the airport to meet with airport authorities and the woman to persuade her to return to the US, but she refused.

She was stranded at Karachi Airport for a week due to the expiration of her tourist visa and later refused to return to her country.

As Nidal’s family disappeared, the woman staged a sit-in in the parking area of a residential building.

Residents expressed concerns over their safety, as strangers began gathering outside the building to see the American woman.

To resolve the matter, SDPO Clifton Faiza Sodhar met with her and later transferred her to a women’s police station. The police said that she required security, and her mental state also appeared unstable.

However, upon her insistence, she was later sent back to the Garden area.

As per police reports Pakistani young man Nidal was taken into custody by intelligence agencies four days ago, while his family had already vacated their residence.
