KP Assembly passes resolution on CM Gandapur’s disappearance

PESHAWAR: In the emergency session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly, the resolution regarding the disappearance of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was approved by majority vote, here on Sunday.

As per the details, the resolution said that the Federal Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi and the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi continued to mislead and sought a report from the Speaker.

The emergency meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly began after a 5-hour delay under the chairmanship of Speaker Babar Saleem Swati.

Speaker Babar Saleem Swati said that the assembly represents the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, what happened in the last two days should be discussed, representatives of both the government and the opposition are present.

He said that the workers were called so that they could listen to their representatives, so they should listen to the speeches and refrain from raising slogans. He further said that the rooms of the Chief Minister and Ministers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad were damaged.

During the session, the activists continued chanting despite the speaker’s warning to which the speaker warned that if it happened again, they would be kicked out of the gallery and stressed that it was a serious session and no more sloganeering. go

Provincial Law Minister Aftab Alam addressed the session, which was also attended by the Advocate General, and requested that the rules be suspended for the resolution. On this occasion Ahmed Kundi suggested that the resolution should be presented unanimously.

The provincial minister presented a resolution in which it was said that the leader of the house is missing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the federal interior minister and the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are misleading. Therefore, the Speaker calls for a report in this regard.

The resolution said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a part of the Federal Republic, the Speaker should use the legal authority to take the House into confidence.

In the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, the resolution regarding the disappearance of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was passed by majority vote.

On this occasion, Speaker Babar Saleem Swati issued an order and summoned the Chief Secretary, IG Police and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and asked them for a report on the steps taken regarding the recovery of the Chief Minister.
