KP govt announces special Ramadan Package

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has announced a Ramadan package for 5,000 deserving families in every provincial constituency.

As per details, the KP govt will disburse a cash grant of Rs1,000 to every eligible family during the holy month.

Chief Minister Gandapur has directed cabinet members to keep close contact with the people at the grassroots level to ensure transparency and efficiency.

The distribution process would be done in the first 10 days of Ramadan with an estimated Rs8 billion budget for the package.

During the cabinet meeting, the chief minister also instructed all provincial assembly members (MPAs) to help concerned departments in preparing the lists of deserving families.

However, the registration process for the families has not been revealed yet.

In addition, Ali Amin Gandapur also directed his cabinet members to get citizen’s input in their proposals for the next Annual Development Program and directed them to start the preparation for the next year’s ADP.

The cabinet meeting was attended by ministers, Advisors, Special Assistants, Additional Chief Secretaries, Senior Member of Board of Revenu,e and Administrative Secretaries.
