KP govt approves compensation package for D-Chowk protest victims

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet approves compensation package for D-Chowk tragedy victims, here on Monday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Dr. Saif announced that the provincial cabinet has approved a compensation package for the martyrs and injured of the D-Chowk tragedy.

According to the approved package, the families of the martyrs will be given Rs 10 million each, while the injured will be given Rs 1 million.

Dr. Saif said that compensation has already been allocated for the families of the confirmed martyrs, and verification of more victims is underway, ensuring that their families will also get compensation once confirmed.
