PESHAWAR: After Sindh and Punjab provinces, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also decided to pay salaries and pensions to government employees in advance, here on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by the Finance Department, the salaries and pensions of March will be paid to the employees on the 20th. Salaries and pensions will be released in advance due to Eid-ul-Fitr. It should be noted that advance salaries to government employees of Sindh will be paid on March 21.

On the other hand, there are likely to be six holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr across the country. The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council has predicted that this time the month of Ramadan will be 29 days long and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on March 31. In this case, Eid will be celebrated on three days of Eid-ul-Fitr (Monday to Wednesday), i.e. March 31 and April 1 and 2.

However, if thirty days of fasting are completed, Eid will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1 to Thursday.

Astronomers say that the Eid-ul-Fitr moon will be visible in most parts of Pakistan on the evening of March 30, because at that time it will be 26 hours old, which is exactly in line with the conditions for the moon to be visible.

Before that, Saturday and Sunday are holidays for government employees, so there will be at least six holidays for Eid.
