PESHAWAR: The Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) on Sunday introduced a transparent and merit-based recruitment process through computer-based tests for various posts in Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Under the system, candidates were shown their results immediately upon completing the test, reducing reliance on manual intervention and strengthening the integrity of the examination process.

Candidates participated in the test in a calm and orderly environment, with many expressing satisfactions over the smooth process. The instant results announcements further boosted their confidence in the system.

The test is conducted for posts like Manager (Admin & Accounts/Customer Care), Assistant Manager (HR & Admin), Assistant Manager (Accounts & Payments), Assistant Manager (MIS), HR Officer, Fleet Officer, and MIS Assistant. And is fully computerized. Each candidate received a unique, randomly generated question paper, ensuring fairness and eliminating any possibility of bias.

Meanwhile, ETEA Executive Director Adeel Saeed Safi stressed that the computer-based test exemplifies ETEA’s commitment to merit-based recruitment. He said that our aim is to implement the system in a phased manner in all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, allowing candidates to appear at the nearest centre.

He added that once fully implemented, all examination processes under ETEA will be computerised, ensuring a standard and efficient recruitment process.
