LAHORE: The Punjab Wildlife authorities have announced the Lahore Safari Zoo’s temporary closure for 15 days beginning from March 11, 2025.
The close is announced for carrying out of repairs, maintenance work, and construction work aimed at improving the overall facilities and environment of the zoo.
According to a spokesperson for Wildlife and Parks Punjab, the ongoing improvement works are expected to be completed within the stipulated time, ensuring that the zoo is reopened to the public before Eid.
Besides the repair and construction work, a comprehensive medical examination of all the animals in the zoo will also be performed to guarantee their health and well-being.
During the closure, the zoo management has ensured that the animals will be offered the best care and facilities. It was emphasized by the authorities that regular improvement works are done at the Safari Zoo to provide a suitable environment for animals and also enhanced recreational facilities for the visitors.
Officials are confident that all necessary steps will be completed in the 15-day time limit, and the Safari Zoo reopens in a better condition.
