Pakistan Railways employees caught stealing copper worth millions in Lahore

LAHORE: Pakistan Railway Police Lahore caught four railway employees red-handed stealing copper worth millions of rupees from the Railway General Store on Saturday.

According to FIR, upon the raid, railway employees Muhammad Raza, Naeem Ahmed, and other fellow employees including outsiders for assistance were caught stealing valuable copper under the guise of scrap wood from the Railway General Store in Mughalpura Lahore.

The four accused had been working in the general store for a long time and were involved in stealing the store’s goods even before that.

Police said that after different statements the accused later admitted to stealing material from the Railway General Store and also informed the name of his co-accused Malik Manzoor who during the raid on the motorcycle.

Railway Police Lahore has said that after a preliminary investigation, four suspects have been remanded from the court and a letter has been written to the government of Pakistan urging strict action against the senior officer who supported them.
