LAHORE: The Punjab government has invited citizens to take advantage of the scheme to provide interest-free loans for the repair, strengthening, expansion and construction of their homes.
According to a notification issued by the government, interest-free loans of up to Rs 500,000 are being provided for the repair, strengthening or expansion of a house under the “Apni Chhat, Mahfooz Chhat” program, while interest-free loans of up to Rs 1 million are being provided for the construction of a house under the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” program on easy terms.
The notification states that eligible citizens can submit an application through the online portal, while for further guidance and application process, the offices of the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA), Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners can also be contacted.
The government has appealed to citizens to take full advantage of this facility and obtain interest-free loans for the repair, strengthening, expansion or construction of their homes. The 0800 09100 helpline can also be contacted for further information and guidance.
