ISLAMABAD: Following the hike in the prices of petrol and diesel, the government also raised the price of kerosene oil by Rs. 34.33 per liter, taking its price to Rs. 276.66 per liter.
This price hike takes place as Pakistan moves toward adopting a daily pricing system for fuel amid soaring international oil prices.
The government announced a significant rise in the prices of petrol, high-speed diesel, and kerosene oil, along with a new pricing system for fuel.
As per a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been hiked by Rs. 5.44 per liter, making its new price Rs. 316.15 per liter.
The price of high-speed diesel has been hiked by Rs. 31.05 per liter, making its new price Rs. 354.35 per liter.
The biggest price increase was observed in the case of kerosene oil, whose price has been increased by Rs. 34.33 per liter, making its price Rs. 276.66 per liter.
These revised prices will be effective till the end of July 20 and will remain in effect from midnight of July 18, 2022, for the first time under the recently introduced daily petroleum pricing system by the government.
