LAHORE: A big facility has been announced for students seeking admission in medical and dental colleges.
According to the details, it has been decided to include three more new cities, Mianwali, Layyah and Bahawalnagar, in the list of examination centers for conducting the MDCAT examination this year, after which thousands of students will be relieved from traveling to distant cities.
According to reports, the concerned administration has issued instructions to the University of Health Sciences (UHS) to take immediate steps to establish three new examination centers.
It should be noted that the purpose of establishing the new centers is to provide students with the facility of taking the examination near their native areas and to make the examination process more effective.
This year, the MD CAT examination will be held in more cities than before. Last year, the examination was conducted in 12 cities, however, this time the number of examination cities has been increased to 15, and the total number of examination centers has also been increased from 26 to 32.
It should be noted that the establishment of new examination centers will save both travel expenses and time of students, while also reducing unnecessary hassles on the exam day. Parents and students have welcomed this move, calling it a positive and student-friendly decision.
