LAHORE: The Motorway Police has released guidelines to ensure a safe and happy Eid for all travelers. Before embarking on a journey, drivers are advised to thoroughly check their vehicle’s engine oil, water levels, tire conditions, air pressure, and brakes.

Additionally, the Motorway Police emphasizes the importance of using seat belts, adhering to speed limits, maintaining proper distance from the vehicle in front, and following lane laws for safe driving.

To promote road safety, the Motorway Police carried out an awareness campaign and distributed gifts among travelers on the motorway.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to curb overspeeding on motorways. In March, the Motorway Police launched a crackdown on speeding drivers, taking action against 54 drivers and registering cases on various motorways, including Lahore-Sialkot, Lahore-Islamabad, Lahore-Multan, Faisalabad-Multan, and Sukkur-Multan.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit on 3-lane motorways is 120 km/h for light vehicles and 110 km/h for heavy vehicles.

Exceeding these limits will result in penalties. By following these guidelines and adhering to traffic laws, travelers can ensure a safe and enjoyable journey during the Eid holidays.
