ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has expanded its services up to the union councils for providing easy facilities to people.
As per a public announcement issued by the NADRA, the services would be offered in Islamabad union councils such as Sayyedpur, Sahala, Model Town, Koral, and I-10-4.
In addition, NADRA services are also available in Mureed UC of Chakwal and Daulat Nagar UC of Gujrat. Citizens are now able to approach the aforementioned UCs for their official documents.
Previously, the National Database and Registration Authority launched a major effort inviting those who have procured their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) on the basis of incorrect information, intentionally or not, to come forward voluntarily and self-report.
NADRA, in an official public notice, made it public that those who volunteer to report such discrepancies would be given legal protection.
The initiative seeks to encourage transparency and give citizens a safe avenue to rectify identity-related mistakes without receiving instant punitive action.
The NADRA cautioned that not reporting false information can lead to legal action, as having correct identity data is most important for national security and facilitating public services.
Part of its continued move to increase identity confirmation and data quality, NADRA encouraged the public to go to their closest registration centers to correct any data errors in their records.
