ISLAMABAD: The B form is extremely important for identifying a minor in Pakistan today as it provides access to basic services and government programs.
According to data from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), the updated fee structure for Child Registration Certificate (CRC) or B Form is Rs 50, and if you want expedited services, the fee is Rs 500.
This move is part of NADRA’s ongoing efforts to streamline the process of registering minors in the country.
To apply for a B-Form, parents must present proof of birth from the Union Council, and at least one parent must have a valid National Identity Card (NIC) or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).
If only one of the parents is available, the application must be verified by a gazetted officer or public representative, such as an MNA, MPA, or municipal official.
The application process involves visiting the nearest NADRA office with the child’s computerized birth certificate. If both parents are present, one will submit the application, while the other will act as a verifier. His or her presence is mandatory for taking the child’s photograph and fingerprints.
The child registration process is fast, accessible, and efficient, empowering every child in Pakistan with the right to official identification from birth.
