ISLAMABAD: NADRA has introduced a new method for Form B for children, according to which three B forms will be made for each child.
The National Database Registration Center, the only authorized body to provide identity cards and other identity documents to Pakistani citizens living in the country and abroad, has introduced a new method for Form B for children.
Under this method, a separate B form will be made for each child in three different stages with a photograph and will expire after a specified period.
At the birth of a child, the first B form will be made without a photograph, which will be valid until the child reaches the age of three.
The second B form will be made with a photograph after the child reaches the age of three and its validity will be until the child reaches the age of 10. This form will remain valid until the child reaches the age of 10.
When the child is more than 10 years old, Form B will be made again, for which the child’s photograph, iris fingerprints will be taken and its validity will be until the age of 18.
Parents have been advised to register their child with the union council within one month of their birth and to obtain a B form from NADRA.
To obtain a new B form on time after the three-year period expires, visit the nearest NADRA office with the child or obtain a B form from home using the PakID mobile app.
