ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new and upgraded version of the Pak ID Mobile App, which has made the process of visa application and biometric verification even easier.
According to a statement and informational video issued by NADRA, the new version of the Pak ID Mobile App has made the visa process extremely simple for foreigners and overseas Pakistanis wishing to come to Pakistan. Now citizens of 193 countries of the world can apply for all visa categories through this app.
Now the applicant will not need to enter his name, passport number and expiry date manually. As soon as a passport-sized photograph is taken using the upload or capture option in the app, the system will automatically scan all the data and enter it in the form.
A separate section has been created on the home page of the Pak ID mobile app for biometric verification so that users do not have to face any complications. The following facilities will be available under the feature:
Users will now be able to verify blood relationships, vehicle transfers, inheritance, passports, arms licenses and ‘proof of life’ for pensioners from home
The process of verifying facial image and fingerprints has been made faster and easier than before
According to the NADRA spokesperson, to benefit from these facilities, users should update the Pak ID mobile app from the Play Store or Apple Store.
