ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has implemented new eligibility requirements and application procedures, and financial aid information for the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Programme, which serves as a vital part of the Benazir Income Support Programme.
The initiative aims to support children from low-income households in continuing their education while reducing school dropout rates across the country.
The government provides financial assistance on a regular basis to help parents handle educational costs, which will result in increased school attendance because parents will continue to send their children to school.
The official information states that students at all educational levels, from primary school to higher secondary school, will receive quarterly stipends.
The financial support system requires students to attend school regularly because it helps cover their essential educational needs.
Eligibility Criteria
- To qualify for the programme, applicants must meet the following conditions: The child’s mother must already be registered under the BISP Kafalat Programme.
- The child must possess a valid computerized B-Form issued by the National Database and Registration Authority.
- The age requirements are as follows:
- Primary Level: Rs. 3,000 for girls, Rs. 2,500 for boys
- Secondary Level: Rs. 4,000 for girls, Rs. 3,500 for boys
- Higher Secondary Level: Rs. 5,000 for girls, Rs. 4,500 for boys
Registration Process
- Parents or guardians must follow a structured process to enroll their children.
- The parents must take their child and the B-Form to the nearest BISP Tehsil Office.
- The parents must request an enrollment slip from the relevant staff.
- The school must complete the slip, which requires verification through the headmaster’s or class teacher’s signature and official school stamp.
- The completed slip must be submitted to the BISP office for processing and approval.
