ISLAMABAD: After petrol and diesel, the federal government has also significantly reduced the price of kerosene.
According to the notification issued, the price of kerosene per liter has been reduced by Rs 48.29, after which the new price has been fixed at Rs 233.90 per liter. This reduction has been implemented by the government from today.
Earlier, the price of kerosene was Rs 282.19 per liter.
The reduction in the price of kerosene will benefit especially cold areas, rural population and those households that depend on kerosene for domestic use, heating needs and other purposes.
It may be recalled that yesterday, the government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs 74.28 per liter and set the new price at Rs 299.50.
Similarly, the price of diesel per liter was reduced by Rs 67.31 to Rs 311.47.
On the other hand, sources in the Petroleum Division say that the levy on petrol per liter has been reduced by Rs 40.49.
According to sources in the Petroleum Division, the petroleum levy imposed on petrol and diesel has been changed.
After a reduction of Rs 40.49 in the levy on petrol per liter, it has been fixed from Rs 106.74 to Rs 66.25 per liter.
However, sources say that the levy on diesel per liter has been increased by Rs 19.71, after which it has increased from Rs 53.26 to Rs 72.97 per liter.
