ISLAMABAD: The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) is the authorized body to issue National Identity Card (NICOP) to overseas Pakistanis.
This NADRA NICOP is designed for Pakistani citizens who intend to travel abroad or settle in foreign countries.
Any citizen of Pakistan is eligible to apply for NADRA NICOP, which enables dual citizens to enter Pakistan without a visa. To apply for Smart NICOP, a valid passport number is mandatory.
Applications can be submitted at any NADRA office within Pakistan, while overseas Pakistanis can visit their respective consulates or apply online.
NADRA has divided countries into two categories: Zone A and Zone B. Zone A includes European and Western countries such as Germany, while Zone B includes Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
As of December 2024, the normal NICOP fee for Germany is Rs. 11,340 while the immediate fee is Rs. 16,589. NADRA also offers an Executive category to users. The fee for the Executive category is Rs. 21,820.
