RAWALPINDI: According to the ISPR, security forces have killed seven militants in two operations in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation was carried out in Miran Shah area of North Waziristan on the intervening night of December 10 and 11 following information about the presence of militants.
During the operation, the forces effectively targeted the militants, resulting in the killing of four of them.
The second operation was carried out in Spin Wam area of North Waziristan, where three more militants were killed in an exchange of fire.
However, during the intense exchange of fire, a brave soldier, Lance Naik Mohammad Amin (34 years, resident of Faisalabad district), lost his life while fighting bravely.
In a statement, the ISPR said that a clearance operation is underway in the area to eliminate the remaining militants. The security forces are determined to rid the country of the scourge of terrorism, and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
