ABBOTTABAD: After six months, the National Highway Administration and the Kaghan Development Agency reopened the Babusar Top to tourists.

Frontier Works cleared the glaciers and snow from the road and reopened it to traffic. After that, the travel time from Mansehra to Gilgit-Baltistan was reduced by five hours.

The highway remains closed for traffic from October to June every year due to heavy snowfall. During this period, traffic was diverted to the Karakoram Expressway.

Hundreds of tourists travel to Gilgit-Baltistan in summer, especially from May to August.

Naran serves as a gateway to the breathtaking Kaghan Valley, which boasts calm lakes, lush meadows, and towering peaks for hikers and nature lovers.

Meanwhile, Babusar Top, a high mountain pass, offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and beautiful valleys, accessible via an exciting trip over twisting roads.
