NCA £190m case, name of Azam Khan and seven people removed from ECL

ISLAMABAD: In a major development, the federal government on Monday removed the names of former principal secretary Azam Khan and seven others from the Exit Control List (ECL) in the National Crime Agency (NCA) £190 million scandal.

The names of PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, along with Bushra Bibi, Farah Khan, and Zulfi Bukhari, will remain on the list of ECL.

Other individuals whose names have been removed from the list include Raja Manzoor Kiani, Arif Rahim, Naveed Akbar, Sikandar Hayat, Nisar Muhammad, Ghulam Hyder, and Arif Nazeer Butt. These names were included in the ECL in connection with the 190 million pound case.

On April 22, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recommended that the names of Murad Saeed and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) officials who were in the cabinet be removed from the Exit Control List (ECL).

Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Ghulam Sarwar, Parvez Khattak, Shafqat Mahmood, Ijaz Shah, Ali Zaidi, Khusro Bakhtiar, Azam Swati, Asad Umar, Omar Ayub, Mehboob Sultan, Fawad Chaudhry, Farog Naseem, and Shireen Mazari are among the names that have been removed from the ECL.

It is important to note that Azam Khan, the former principal secretary, and other individuals are witnesses in the £190 million National Crime Agency (NCA) affair.
