ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has issued a directive to distribution companies (Discos), including K-Electric, regarding the issue of load-shedding during exam sessions, citing concerns over student disruptions.
The order emphasized how load shedding negatively affects students’ exam performance. Nepra emphasized how crucial it is to have a continuous power supply during exam times, pointing out that any interruption could significantly impact students’ ability to focus and perform academically.
“Though Discos are bound to supply continuous electric power to their eligible consumers, it is more crucial to understand the vital importance of an uninterrupted power supply during exam sessions,” Nepra stated. It forewarned Discos that more regulatory action might follow noncompliance with the directive.
