New winter school timings in Rawalpindi, Punjab — October 2024

RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has revised the school timings across the province including Rawalpindi ahead of the winter season on Monday.

According to the School Education Department notification, the new school timings will be effective from October 15, 2024 (Tuesday) till March 31, 2025.

The notification further stated that single-shift schools will now open at 8:45 am and close at 2:45 pm on Monday to Thursday. While on Fridays, the school will remain open from 8:45 am to 12:45 pm.

For double-shift schools, the first shift will commence at the same time but will culminate at 12:45 PM on four weekdays (Monday to Thursday) while on Fridays the classes will end at 12 noon.

The second shift will run from 1 PM to 5 PM from Monday to Thursday, while 2 pm to 5 pm on Fridays.

The notification added that the teachers are required to arrive at school from 8:30 am till 3 pm. On Fridays, the shift from teachers will end at 1 pm.
