One student dead, several injured in school trip accident

ISLAMABAD: A recreational school trip from Sialkot to Murree turned tragic on Sunday when a road accident near Shakarparian, Islamabad, resulted in the loss of one student’s life and left seven others critically injured.

According to local reports, the accident occurred when the driver of the school bus lost control of the vehicle.

Emergency services swiftly responded, transporting the injured students to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Polyclinic Hospital for urgent medical treatment. The Islamabad district administration assured that all students are receiving necessary care.

In a disturbing twist, the bus driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, prompting authorities to suspect driver negligence.

An investigation is currently underway, with efforts ongoing to apprehend the driver and determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
