Pakistan announces 4,500 fully-funded scholarships for THESE students!

ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has announced scholarships for 4,500 Afghan students, providing opportunities to study in medicine, engineering, agriculture, management, computer science and other fields.

The initiative aims to strengthen Pakistan-Afghanistan relations, promote people-to-people contacts and help rebuild Afghanistan through human resource development.

The scholarships cover full tuition fees, living allowance, book allowance, and hostel dues in Pakistani universities. Opportunities are available at undergraduate, MS/MPhil, and PhD levels.

Here’s the Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants are urged to carefully read the eligibility criteria before applying for the scholarships.

Undergraduate:

Applicants must have completed 12 years of education, be between 17 and 23 years of age, and hold at least 60% marks in general subjects or 65% in medical and engineering subjects, based on the IBCC Pakistan equivalency formula.

MS/M.Phil:

Candidates must not be older than 35 years at the time of application. A minimum of 16 years of education is required, with at least a 2.5 CGPA out of 4.0 in a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

PhD:

The maximum age is 35 years for non-faculty applicants and 40 years for faculty members. Candidates must have 18 years of education and a minimum of 3.0 CGPA out of 4.0 in their MS/M.Phil degree.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted online at http://pakafghan.hec.gov.pk. A user manual is available on the website to guide applicants through the process. Hard copy submissions will not be accepted.

Deadline

The last date to submit online applications is 30 September 2025.

Afghan students with strong academic records are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to pursue higher education in Pakistan.
